Trip to Oklahoma City
Last weekend we headed to OKC for my cousin Crystal's wedding and made a little vacation of it! As as soon as we got to P-town Poppy and Boba took us to the lake to get a little fishin' in before we left town. The girls started catching fish right away...that was nothing new but Emmerson did bait her own hook this time! She pinched that worm right in two...so gross! :-) Didn't phase her a bit!
We drove to OKC on Friday and made it to the zoo just 2 hours before they closed. We made a mad dash to see all the animals. It was SO humid from all the rain and we were soaked...not from the rain, from sweat! Oh yeah! :-) We had a great time though...laughed our booties off at Mom in the stroller!
It rained most of the time we were there so we tried to find fun activities to do inside. Saturday afternoon we went to the Museum of Natural History in Norman.
Saturday evening Crystal married Eric! She was a beautiful bride and it was fun catching up with family!
I told the girls on Wednesday before the wedding that Katelyn was going to be there and from that point on I was asked about every 10 minutes when we would see Katelyn! They were SOOOO excited to see her!
The girls kept the dance floor hopping for about 2 straight hours. They had so much fun!
They were in heaven dancing with the princess bride!
On Sunday the girls got to play with their cousin Ellis and again on Monday when we met for breakfast!
Sunday afternoon we visited the Science Museum. The girls LOVED it! We Brandy and I enjoyed the planetarium! LOL! We snuck a little nap in while Poppy, Boba and Dent snuck OUT of the planetarium to take the girls to play at the giant tree house.
Sunday night we watched the Liberty Fest fireworks...best fireworks show I have ever seen! See these sweet girls?...can you say "sleepy?"
We did our own fireworks in Poppy and Boba's backyard when we got back to town.
Enjoyed getting to spend some time with Grams...
And as always the girls just had a ball playing in Poppy and Boba's backyard...it doesn't get much better than that!
Homemade peach ice cream! Yum! :-)
Thanks for a great weekend Poppy and Boba! Love you!
