Evynn's First Day of Gymnastics!

Today was Evynn's first day at gymnastics! After sitting every week for 2 years and watching Emmerson, her time has FINALLY come!!! She did such a good job! We are actually doing a "Parent-Tot" class right now since the "Tumblebugs" class doesn't actually start until she is 2 1/2. We started out stretching as a group and she did really well following Miss Brandi's instruction. Then we were "released" to go "play." WHAT? I must say I was a little shocked at first that we will be paying for a class all summer led by Mommy!*?#! After all, Mommy wasn't ever too hot in tumbling herself! :-) It didn't turn out so bad though and we had a really good time playing together (after the initial shock wore off). :-)

We started out on the big swing. She didn't hesitate at all and asked several times if she could swing again. Maybe she can convince Big Sister that it's not all that scary! :-)

Next we jumped on the trampoline, worked on forward rolls, walked the balance beam and swung from the rings into the foam pit. Not to bad for my first day of teaching gymnastics, huh? LOL

Emmerson's group started their summer classes today too and she was SO excited that her little friend Grace was back!! She was also pleasantly surprised to see her favorite teacher Courtney back. Courtney had been away for the school year while she was student teaching but we are SO happy that she is back for the summer!

This one is hard to see but I couldn't leave it out...see her swinging on the rings!? So brave!

I think this may have been the best part...She has watched Sissy get a Popsicle every week and shed many tears over not having her own...She finally has her own! :-)
