7 years later...

I wanted to take the girls to the "American Tribute" memorial on Thursday but since there was so much rain, we put it off until Friday morning. It is a beautiful display of 1,000 flags in memory of those who lost their lives on Sept 11, 2001 and also to honor local first responders who lost their lives in the line of duty. The girls and I enjoyed our walk through the flags and I was reminded of how blessed we are to live in a free country and how especially thankful I am for the men and women across seas still defending it today.
