CHRISTMAS BREAK
was quite an experience! We got the call as soon as our vacation had started to let us know that we would be moving into our new house! Yea! Our house had sold! While it was unfortunate that it was all happening over Christmas and our time with family would be cut short, the timing was really good because both Alan and I had vacation time. So, we started packing...and we packed, and we packed! Then on Christmas Eve we took a break from all of the packing and home repairs and we went to Perryton to see family. We had a great time seeing everyone and catching up. Emmerson even got to meet Santa (or Clause, as she calls him) for the first time. He was quite a hit! She still talks about Clause and is looking forward to seeing him again next year. After what seemed like a fast visit we headed back to Lubbock on Wednesday, packed on Thursday and moved on Friday...in the mud and rain! We are so glad to finally be in our house though and it's even started to feel like home. Mom and Dad came back with us last week and were a HUGE help in cleaning, putting together and putting away all of our stuff. Thanks to them I am going to sit down and relax tonight AND tomorrow and enjoy what's left of the break.
Oh! One more thing...a big thing that happened over the break! Emmerson is now sleeping in her big girl bed and loves her new big girl room. I am so proud of her!!! Once again I am so thankful to have such a sweet and easy child.
Here are some pictures from Christmas Eve at Grams' house.
