Our Kickoff to Christmas Weekend!!
This weekend we definitely got into the holiday spirit! It was a busy one! Mom and I ran around like CRAZY people on Saturday to finish up our Christmas shopping. While we were out, Alan got the lights on the house and Daddy kept the girls entertained, fed and even made sure they got a good nap!
Then, on Saturday night we all took a ride on The Polar Express! It was a fun time. The girls loved riding on the train and got to tell Santa all about what they wanted for Christmas. Emmerson left it wide open with a request for “toys” so that should be easy enough! :-) They loved getting their little jingle bells and we all enjoyed the cookies and hot chocolate!
On Sunday we took Emmerson to the Nutcracker. Mark & Renee (aka Sweet Pea and Papa Martin) kept Evynn so we could enjoy the show. Although we missed her we knew she would NEVER make it through the performance. She is quite the busy body these days and sits still for about a split second! Next year, Sweet Evynn, we will all go together! Anyway, Alan, Em and I loved the ballet and I’m sure Evynn had a good time too playing with Sweet Pea and Papa.
After the Nutcracker we went over to Mark and Renee’s to celebrate our Christmas with them. We stuffed our bellies with all the good food Renee had prepared and then had a good time opening presents, visiting and watching the girls play with all of their new toys. It was nice to just sit around, sip on a warm drink and relax after a fun filled weekend!

Looks like so much fun! Was that train ride in Lubbock? How neat! I love how the girls wear their jammies on the train! So dang cute!!
You did a great job of capturing all of the exciting and special moments on the "Polar Express". Em and Evy were such cute little dolls. It was Daddy's and my pleasure to get to go with you all.
